People with illness anxiety disorder, also called hypochondriasis or hypochondriasis, have an unrealistic fear of having a serious medical condition or fear that they are at high risk of getting sick. They may misinterpret typical bodily functions as signs of illness. Illness anxiety disorder, sometimes called hypochondriasis or health anxiety, is overly concerned that you are or may become seriously ill. You may not have physical symptoms.
Or you may think that normal body sensations or mild symptoms are signs of a serious illness, even if a complete medical exam doesn't reveal a serious medical condition. I love my parents and I know they would believe me, but the last time I mentioned serious anxieties they sent me to a therapist who didn't help me and then they just forgot about it. My mother has anxiety issues, and because I mentioned my feelings, she now confides her anxieties to me occasionally, which makes me feel horrible because she is my mother and she is supposed to be the one who takes care of me.
